Caring for your new silicone finish

Simple cleaning and ventilation habits to help look after the silicone joints in your home.

A little everyday care helps keep freshly sealed joints looking their best. Follow the curing instructions provided for your installation before exposing new silicone to water.

Once cured, clean gently with a soft cloth and a suitable non-abrasive cleaner. Good ventilation helps wet areas dry between uses. Avoid sharp tools and harsh scrubbing along the seal.

If a joint starts to lift, split or leak, ask a professional to inspect it. A damaged seal may need replacement instead of another layer applied over the top.
